In celebration of our recently opened Exeter showroom, we're asking the local community what they believe makes a house a home.
Whether it's a family focused kitchen, a roaring fire, a sumptuous and relaxing bathroom, or warming decoration, we would like to know what makes a home special.
The way homes are used is constantly changing with post World War II Britain wanting to create a comfy place to help get life back to normal, whereas with the boom of technology advancements in the 1980s, televisions, video players and Hi-Fi systems became the must haves to create the perfect home.
Mark Mogford, The Room Works Showroom Manager, commented, "In modern times, contemporary open plan living is extremely popular, but we want to know whether that is what turns a house into a home for the Exeter community. Or, maybe the history and period features that come with a Victorian or Georgian period house make a property more homely, we're keen to find out."
